Halesowen Swimming Club was founded on 17th May 1963. The fundamental objectives of the Club have not changed over the years and the Club remains first and foremost committed to competitive swimming. However, the Club offers a range of activities connected with swimming to encourage every member of the family to take part. We always have been and always will remain a strong family based Club.

Current activities include:
- Learn to Swim
- Competitive swimming training
- Adult/Masters swimming

Members of Halesowen Swimming Club are part of a 350+ strong family in which no one member is any more important than another. We will do our best to help fulfil every member’s potential in whatever activity they take part.

Halesowen Swimming Club achieved the Amateur Swimming Association’s (ASA) Swim 21 and Sport England’s Clubmark standards in November 2002. The Club successfully renewed its accreditation in 2007 and again in 2011 and was amongst the first of the original Swim 21 clubs nationally to do so. The achievement of Sport England’s Clubmark signifies the Club’s commitment to being a safe, effective and child friendly sports club. The Club runs the only accredited swimming programme in the locality.

Halesowen Swimming Club is run by an Executive Committee elected by the members at the Annual General Meeting in November each year and is responsible for the day-to-day running of the Club. The Club has an agreed set of rules and the Committee runs the Club in accordance with these.
